Abilities
⯌ Class-Zero Cadet
Child soldier. Wields twin rapiers. Very athletic. Standard JRPG bullshit physical capabilities (jumping high, very fast, can easily parry projectiles, etc).
⯌ L'cie of the White Tiger Crystal. "The power of the gods". Traded humanity for immortality and power, also given a Focus. Deals significantly more damage; damage taken is far less; movement speed increased dramatically. Also can do short-range teleportation and can fly.

For the character himself, Machina is responsible for a number of deaths of both enemies and allies, a point-blank execution of a character (in the novel), and (towards end-game) general mercilessness when it comes to killing. Canonically, he can also rip peoples/monster's souls from their corpses, and use those souls to replenish his magic.

Depending on how close the CR, his reaction may vary. If done in a non-threatening way, he's more likely to allow it. If he's taken from post-turning-l'Cie, he will more violently shove any contact away.

⯌ Fight Machina is a trained child solider. Despite his having his own beliefs that he's not as good as the rest of Class Zero, gameplay proves that he's actually on equal footing with them. In canon, the other classmates of his actually remark about how powerful he is, even before he betrays them.

⯌ Psionic/Soul-Sensing Machina's soul has been reincarnated 600+ million times (600,104,972 to be exact). He is the bearer of the "throne of fear", but was deemed unnecessary for the powers-that-be's bigger plan. Lots of darkness in there. Machina also has the ability to reap and carry souls (canonically, referred to as "phantoma"), which is what the Type 0 class harvest deceased after battle. So anyone who's able to sense souls may be able to tell that he's also carrying a bunch of extra souls on him.
